EASTON, Pa. — Featuring 40 charming merchant huts, live entertainment, skating, food and libations, the 4th annual Easton Winter Village (eastonwintervillage.com) returns to Centre Square to delight holiday shoppers and revelers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 18 to December 17. It operates rain or shine Fridays 5 – 9 p.m., Saturdays 1-9 p.m. and Sundays noon – 5 p.m. #JingleAllTheWaytoEaston
As the kick-off night of the Winter Village is commemorated with the official opening ceremony on Saturday, November 18 th, GEDP’s Director of Special Events and Promotions, Marcy Mckinney expresses with much enthusiasm, “GEDP is thrilled to announce our renewed collaboration with the city putting together the Easton Winter Village. As the event continues to expand annually, this year once again promises to be yet another celebration, enhancing the vibrancy of the downtown area and delivering unity, joy and merriment to our community. We are excited for everyone to join us at the opening ceremony, where the holiday season will be inaugurated with a special address from Mayor Salvatore J. Panto Jr.“

At the center of Easton Winter Village stands the city’s beloved Peace Candle, an 85-foot illuminated creation that is an iconic symbol of Easton’s holiday spirit and expresses the universal desire for harmony in an increasingly volatile world.
In addition, more than 50 locally-owned shops, boutiques and galleries are just steps away in Easton’s downtown as well as two dozen of the city’s acclaimed restaurants and eateries for a complete day of shopping, recharging and celebrating.

Easton Winter Village Skating Rink – https://eastonwintervillage.
The synthetic rink in the 200 block of Northampton Street is illuminated by strands of white lights overhead. Skating is free for City of Easton residents (state driver’s license or other state-issued ID required) for a 45-minute session and $5 for non-city residents. All skate rentals are $5. Tickets can be purchased at the rink. (Credit card only.)
Breakfast and Pictures with Santa
Saturday, November 25, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Bank Street Annex. Santa and his elves center a fun-filled family event including a buffet-style breakfast, live music, story time with Santa and “take your own” pictures with St. Nick.
Pictures with Santa (sponsored by City Center) are offered every weekend of the Winter Village in the Santa Zone. Advanced tickets are strongly recommended with few walkup appointments available. Visitors will receive three poses and the rights to make prints. Photos are on limited weekends. You will walk away with one printed photo as well as access to digital photos that you can print on your own.

Art Shows at Nurture Nature Center
Visitors can enjoy viewing student art shows featuring art from students in the Easton Area School District will also be on display at Nurture Nature Center through January.
Flora and Fauna: Students take their cue from nature finding inspiration in the plants and animals that inhabit our Earth. Celebrating Flora and Fauna’s beauty, diversity and intertwined lives.
Identity: Students explore different facets of their identity. Whether it be their place within a family unit, friend group or team, students work symbolically to reflect who they are, or how they wish to be seen by others.
Easton Winter Village is made possible by the nonprofit Greater Easton Development Partnership, which also plans the annual Peace Candle Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 25, 6:30 p.m., as well as the City of Easton and Northampton County. Major sponsors include presenting sponsor Lehigh Valley Health Network, premier sponsors Commodore and IBEW Local 102, and supporting sponsors WFMZ-TV69, City Center, Air Products and Service Electric Cable Television.
Parking is available in the South 3rd Street Garage or the 4th Street Garage. Both downtown parking garages are 50 cents an hour after 5 p.m. Regular hourly rates are charged from 5 a.m. – 5 p.m.
