Grace Montessori School Raises $115,000 for Student Scholarships and Enhanced Programming

The annual Legacy of Learning fundraiser supports Montessori education accessible to all.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (June 23, 2026) – On Thursday, May 14, Grace Montessori School raised

$115,000 at its annual Legacy of Learning benefit fundraiser, supporting student scholarships and enhanced programming to enrich the educational experience of all students.

“Every year, I am amazed by the generosity of our community,” said Radhika Hoshing, director of Grace Montessori School and event committee member. “Through this fundraiser, we are able to support even more students and help relieve the economic barriers that can prevent families from accessing Montessori education.”

Held at the Americus Hotel, Legacy of Learning also celebrated community members who have supported the school, including Dianne Pagano Manges and Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk and his wife, Karen.

In its fourth year, Legacy of Learning is a benefit for community members, alumni, families, and teachers to celebrate the nonprofit school and its impact on families in Allentown and beyond.

Serving children ages 15 months to 12 years, Grace Montessori School offers an education grounded in self-directed activity, hands-on experiential learning and collaborative play.

Students work in groups and individually, and the curriculum is designed to teach children independence. Funds raised at the Legacy of Learning benefit support the Montessori experience and programs such as STEAM, Yoga, and Art classes.

About Grace Montessori School

Grace Montessori School was established in 1992. A nonprofit school and childcare center, we are members of the American Montessori Society, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and registered as a private, non-public school with the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We strive to educate the whole child – cognitively, spiritually, and physically, and our classroom environments are large, inviting, and well-equipped with age-appropriate, developmentally designed materials. As an Episcopal School, we value nurturing the whole child by providing opportunities for Spiritual,

Social-Emotional, and Cognitive development. We seek and welcome the cultural, socioeconomic, and religious differences of our families and weave them into the common life of our students and staff.
