The Allentown Police Department is seeking applicants for its 2016 Citizens Police Academy class. Classes will run Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm-9pm from April 4 through May 26 and will be held primarily at the Allentown Police Academy.
Topics will include criminal investigations, crime scene processing, arrests, search and seizure, crime analysis, vice and intelligence, gang unit, school resource officers, defensive tactics and use of force, vehicle stops, DUI and field sobriety testing, community oriented policing, K9 demonstration and the county coroner’s office.
Class size is limited to 30 individuals. Allentown residents and crime watch group participants are strongly urged to apply.
