Blue Mountain and Camelback Resorts Celebrate Nov. 14 With Seasonal Festivities, New Trails, Enhanced Night Skiing and Expanded Snowmaking
PALMERTON & TANNERSVILLE, Pa. – Blue Mountain Resort and Camelback Resort will mark the start of ski season in the Pocono Mountains with their annual ULLR Fest celebrations on Saturday, November 14, honoring ULLR, the Norse god of snow and skiing. And the two Pocono resorts, both named among the Top Ski Resorts in the U.S. in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, head into the 2026–27 season with major upgrades.
Camelback Resort builds on its record 2025–26 winter, when it was the first resort in the Poconos to open and the last to close, logging the region’s longest ski season. This year it adds its first new terrain in 30 years, bringing the mountain trail count to 45, along with new on-mountain dining. Blue Mountain Resort, home to Pennsylvania’s highest vertical drop, will complete its switch to 100% LED trail lighting and expand its snowmaking capacity.
ULLR Fests Kick Off the Winter Season
Both resorts will host their own unique ULLR Fest on Saturday, November 14, from 5 to 9 p.m., honoring Ullr, the Norse god of snow and skiing, with festivities intended to bring good fortune for the season ahead.
Camelback Resort’s celebration at Thirsty Camel will feature food, drinks, live music, wood carving, ski decorating, a bonfire and a drone show. Blue Mountain Resort will host its festivities at Valley Lodge, with food, drinks, live music, ski decorating and a bonfire.
Winter Beyond the Slopes
Snow tubing is always a major draw at both resorts. Blue Mountain – with its 56 tubing lanes – is billed as the largest snow tubing park in the country, while Camelback, one of the nation’s largest tubing parks, offers more than 40 lanes.
Both resorts offer ski and snowboard instruction for a range of ages and abilities, along with on-mountain dining for guests looking to round out a day on the slopes.
Mountain Facts and Ticket Options
Camelback Resort’s 45 trails are served by 14 lifts, with one-day lift tickets starting at $78. Blue Mountain Resort features 40 trails and 15 lifts with one-day tickets starting at $48. Both resorts participate in the Ikon Pass program and offer the Peak-to-Peak Poconos Pass, which provides unlimited skiing and riding at both mountains with no blackout dates or restrictions.
