Lehighton, PA – The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) is pleased to announce Kristen Schaible as its new Membership and Events Manager. A Palmerton resident, Schaible brings more than 20 years of experience in small business ownership, nonprofit leadership, event coordination and community engagement.

In her new role, Schaible will focus on building relationships with current and prospective members, helping businesses connect with Chamber resources, and coordinating events that bring Carbon County’s business community together.

“Kristen understands firsthand what it takes to run a small business, and she brings experience creating events and building relationships that keep people engaged,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the CCEDC. “As we continue to shape our programming around what our members need, her creativity, local perspective and attention to detail will be tremendous assets. We’re excited for our members to get to know her!”

Schaible owned and operated Kris Schaible Studio for two decades, managing the business’s operations, marketing and customer relationships while creating original glass beads and silver jewelry. Her work included exhibiting at juried art shows nationwide and teaching workshops, convention sessions and private classes.

She also served as Vice President of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers, where she helped coordinate annual conferences, develop professional education opportunities, cultivate sponsorships and support fundraising. Her earlier career in aviation operations included managing complex schedules, logistics and customer service.

Schaible currently serves on the Palmerton Area School District Board of Directors, bringing an additional understanding of the connections among local schools, employers, families and community organizations.

Her addition supports the CCEDC’s continued focus on meaningful member engagement, business education and opportunities for local businesses and community partners to connect.
