BETHLEHEM, PA – October 26, 2026 – The region’s nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center, Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley, will hold a free Open Enrollment event on Saturday, November 7 from 9 am – 1 pm to assist the community in registering for 2027 health insurance.

Held at NHCLV’s downtown Allentown community health center at 160 Hamilton Street, the

event is free and open to the general public. Assisters will be signing up residents for plans thru Pennie, the state’s healthcare exchange for Affordable Care Act plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Community partner organizations and health insurance companies (MCOs) will have tables offering information on their services and health plan options.

NHCLV will also offer free adult flu shots, free blood pressure screenings, and free dental health screenings for adults.

Onsite parking is available in the lot next to the health center. LANTA bus routes also have stops nearby.

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley is the region’s first Federally Qualified Community Health Center and was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization more than 20 years ago in 2004 by a group of concerned community residents. Their goal was to meet the need for a coordinated system of primary care for the uninsured and/or underinsured residents in the Lehigh Valley. NHCLV operates five primary care sites – two in downtown Allentown, and one each in Northside Bethlehem, Southside Bethlehem, and Easton’s West Ward.
