[10/28/26] ─ The Kidder Township First Responders Fund at the Carbon County Community Foundation awarded $60,000 in grants last week to support four emergency response agencies serving Kidder Township. This marks the second consecutive year the fund has distributed $60,000 to support the agencies that help protect residents and visitors. Each agency received $15,000 to support its work in the community. The recipients are Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company, Lake Harmony Volunteer Fire Company, Lake Harmony Volunteer Rescue Squad & Ambulance, and Kidder Township Police Department.
The Kidder Township First Responders Fund was established in 2025 through the generosity of Blue Ridge Real Estate Company. The grants awarded this year were raised primarily through the annual Kidder Township First Responders Golf Tournament, held at Jack Frost National Golf Club on September 14th. The tournament is organized each year by a committee of representatives from Blue Ridge, the golf course, and each of the four responder agencies. Donations to the fund are also welcome year-round, providing individuals and businesses with another way to support local first responders.
“These grants are a meaningful investment in the people who work every day to keep our community safe,” said Sharon Alexander, President of the Carbon County Community Foundation. “We’re grateful to everyone who supported the golf tournament and contributed to making this funding possible again this year for our Kidder Township first responders.”
Save the date: The third annual Jack Frost National Invitational Kidder Township First Responders Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 13, 2027, at Jack Frost National Golf Club. Sponsorship opportunities and golfer registration information will be available in summer 2027.
