[Northampton County, PA] — With the November 3 General Election approaching, the Northampton County Elections Division is reminding voters who have applied for a mail-in ballot but have not yet received it that several options are available to ensure they can cast their vote.
Voters who have not received their requested mail-in ballot are encouraged to consider the following options:
Option 1: Obtain a Replacement Ballot in Person
Voters who have already applied for a mail-in ballot but have not received it may visit the Northampton County Elections Division on the Lower Level at 669 Washington Street, Easton, PA, 18042 to request a replacement ballot.
Voters should inform Elections Division staff that their original ballot was not received in the mail. The original ballot will be cancelled, and a replacement ballot can be issued in person during the following dates and hours:
- Monday, October 26: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 27: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 28: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, October 29: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 30: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Monday, November 2: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 3 (Election Day): 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Option 2: Return Your Ballot if It Arrives Before Election Day
Voters who are still awaiting delivery of their mail-in ballot may return it once received.
Completed mail-in ballots must be received by the Northampton County Elections Division no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Voters may return their completed ballots to any of the County’s 10 designated secure ballot drop boxes (see flyer below) or directly to the Elections Division at 669 Washington Street, Easton.
Voters are encouraged to return their ballots as soon as possible after receiving them; we strongly recommend not relying on mail delivery this close to the deadline.
Option 3: Vote Provisionally at Your Polling Place
Voters who requested a mail-in ballot but never received it may go to their assigned polling place on Election Day, November 3, and request a provisional ballot.
A provisional ballot allows voters to cast their vote while election officials verify their eligibility and confirm that another ballot has not already been received.
Option 4: Surrender Your Mail-In Ballot and Vote in Person
Voters who receive their mail-in ballot but would prefer to vote in person on Election Day should bring their entire mail-in ballot, including the (Purple) return envelope and the (Yellow) security envelope, to their assigned polling place.
By surrendering the ballot and envelopes to election officials, voters may vote using the regular voting machines.
The Northampton County Elections Division encourages residents with outstanding mail-in ballots to take advantage of the available options and make a plan to vote before the November 3 deadline.
