TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – Early Thursday morning the Valley Preferred Cycling Center and executive director Marty Nothstein announced the dates for both VeloFests in 2018. The Spring 2018 VeloFest is set for Saturday, May 5 while the fall edition is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29.
Both events are 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Also, both events are rain or shine.
VeloFest began in 1976 as a small trade session between friends and has bloomed into the largest cycling marketplace in the nation. Held twice annually, once in the spring and once in the fall, the Valley Preferred Cycling Center has welcomed over 6,000 people bi-annually through the gates at VeloFest. Shoppers flock from all over the region and even camp out in the parking lots near the facility to be the first in line for the great deals.
Over the years, the event has spread beyond the sport of cycling with vendors from other sports and types of businesses setting up shop at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. With the guarantee of large crowds, vendors know it is a day well spent.
Vendor registration for the Spring 2018 VeloFest will open at a later date.
VeloClub Finish Line Season Ticket holders receive free early admission into both VeloFests, just one of the multiple perks of being a season ticket holder for the World Series of Bicycling. Those members enter the event at 8 a.m. VeloClub General Admission Season Ticket holders receive free general admission into both VeloFests. Also, the Junior Season Ticket package includes free admission into VeloFests as well. Season tickets for the 2018 season are currently on sale and can be purchased here.
Single tickets for VeloFest are $8 for general admission and $2 for children 12 years old and younger. Admission for the Spring 2018 event will go on sale at a later date.
