Allentown School District announces the following events and activities throughout our District. Highlights include:
- Central Elementary School – October 25; during school day: Food Trust Presentations for Grade 3 focusing on healthy eating and lifestyles.
- Washington Elementary School – October 26; 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Coach Kumari Parent Workshop for Washington parents and guardians.
- William Allen High School – October 27; 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Community Trick or Treat Night for any child up to age 12. Children wear a costume and bring a bag to carry treats, prizes, crafts, and other keepsakes. There will be activity tables with games, face-painting, tricks, treats, crafts, prizes, storytelling, and songs. Cost is $3 per child, children under 2 are free. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life, A.C.S. (American Cancer Society).
- Mosser Elementary School – October 27; 6:00 p.m.: Olweus Idol Concert offers a musical approach to anti-bullying messaging.
- Roosevelt Elementary School – November 2; 6:00 p.m.: The Rainforest: Family Night Show is a performance that reflects a beautiful rain forest setting complete with special effects. Live birds, monkeys, lemurs, alligators, and snakes are part of the program. This offers a unique educational entertainment. Admission is $5/person. (Children under the age of 3 are admitted free.)
