Celebration at Easton Public Market October 20th 5pm-7pm
OCTOBER 14, 2016 – EASTON, PA: Chocolatier, Jean-Paul Hepp (JP), was named a top ten chocolatier in North America by the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City on October 3rd. A celebration will be held at the Easton Public Market on October 20th from 5pm-7pm with live music and complimentary confections from his shop, Chocodiem. Easton’s Mayor will be in attendance.
Chocodiem’s first business venture as a Clinton, NJ gift store led to the opening of a second larger emerging foodie market in PA, inside the Easton Public Market. Besides an assortment of exquisitely decorated and hand-painted truffles that can be paired with wine inside the market, customers frequent Chocodiem for chocolate gelato, salted caramel brownies, and a delectable array of French macarons. Both locations receive frequent compliments for their upscale stunning packaging designs and silk-glove customer service.
Jean-Paul’s (JP) transition to entrepreneurship wasn’t planned. After 23- years of applying his PhD in biology in the pharmaceutical industry, he took a buy-out. He didn’t know what was next until he travelled. “The one thing I missed from home was Belgian chocolate,” said JP. “It struck me that other people might enjoy this type of old world confection as much as me.” Belgian chocolate is recognized as a gourmet standard for the quality of ingredients and precise adherence to production techniques.
