With a little help from Mother Nature, Superheroes were able to gather today in Bethlehem to raise money and awareness for Autism. The Live, Learn, & Play Superhero 5 K was able to raise over 9,000 dollars. All of which stays local to help people in the Lehigh Valley. Along with the excitement of today’s event Live, Learn, & Play is also excited to announce the opening of their Inclusive Center which will be located at the South Mall. The event kicked off with a timed 5K at 8:30 am, followed by the 1 Mile Superhero Family Walk/Run at 10:30 am. Other activities included Superhero Face Painting/Masks, Live Learn & Play Area- multisensory area for all ages/abilities, Vendor/Resource Fair- info and fun Superhero-themed games/activities, Superhero’s Superpowers & Fantastic Feats. There was also Costume Contest and Cape Decoration Contest.
The Valley Ledger was able to provide two photographers to capture the day’s events, plus we brought a comic book city backdrop to catch some photos of superheroes in the act.
