PALMERTON, PA – Carbon County community and economic development leader Kylie Adams-Weiss will return to her artistic roots this year as the Featured Artist for the 58th Annual Pennridge Gallery of the Arts in Sellersville, Bucks County, marking her first public exhibition of artwork in more than a decade.
Known locally for her work in community engagement, economic development, events and regional advocacy, Adams-Weiss has spent much of her professional life in Carbon County helping build connections between businesses, organizations and communities. Long before that work became the focus of her career, however, her path began as an artist.
A native of Sellersville and 2005 graduate of Pennridge High School, Adams-Weiss received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking with K–12 Art Education Certification from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her multidisciplinary studies included printmaking, painting and drawing, glass, ceramics, fibers and bookmaking. She also studied abroad through Temple University Rome in 2008 and received the Allen Koss Memorial Senior Project Award in Printmaking.
Her artwork has been exhibited at venues and events including the Stella Elkins Tyler Gallery, Chestnut Hill Gallery, Temple University Rome, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Show, Festa di Roma, Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival and Spring Arts Festival, F.U.E.L. Gallery, and The Artist’s Room.
Following her early exhibition years, Adams-Weiss spent five years working professionally within the fine art and gallery industry, traveling throughout North America, Europe and Asia while representing internationally collected artists and masterworks through private collecting events and exhibitions. The experience deepened her connection to visual storytelling, cultural history and the ability of art to create connections across communities and backgrounds.
After returning to Pennsylvania and settling in Palmerton, Adams-Weiss became increasingly involved in community arts initiatives, including eight years of volunteer service and leadership as Chair of the same Bucks County arts festival that now welcomes her back as Featured Artist. That involvement ultimately became a stepping stone into events, marketing and community engagement and, eventually, her current work in economic and community development.
After more than a decade away from publicly exhibiting her own artwork, the invitation to serve as Featured Artist also prompted Adams-Weiss to return to the studio and begin creating again.
“It was humbling to be asked to show my work,” said Adams-Weiss. “Being an artist is not something that leaves you, but life gets busy, other priorities take the forefront and you learn to incorporate your creativity in other ways. I was very determined to not make this a retrospective of my work, so returning to the studio over the last year in preparation for this exhibition has been refreshing.”
Her mixed media work explores transformation, memory, identity and the emotional landscapes shaped by major life transitions. Working across painting, collage, printmaking and mixed media processes, her current creative practice is informed by a life that has changed considerably since she last exhibited — shaped by time, grief, resilience, community and personal evolution.
Today, Adams-Weiss resides in Palmerton with her husband and pets and serves as the Senior Vice President at the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. Her experiences in community-building, storytelling and regional advocacy continue to influence her artistic perspective, creating a connection between the work she is known for throughout Carbon County and the creative practice to which she is now returning.
The 2026 Pennridge Gallery of the Arts will take place on Sunday, September 20th from 12 -5 PM on Main Street in downtown Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Adams-Weiss will be featured throughout the event and will exhibit a collection of original works at the Washington House, located at 136 N. Main Street, Sellersville.

Kylie Adams-Weiss is a mixed media artist originally from Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and currently residing in Palmerton. A graduate of Pennridge High School and Tyler School of Art and Architecture, her creative practice spans painting, collage, printmaking and mixed media and explores themes of transformation, memory, identity, connection and place. The 2026 Pennridge Gallery of the Arts marks her return to publicly exhibiting her work after more than a decade.
