Longtime Tattoo Artist and Entrepreneur Purchases Easton Building to Secure Future of Famous Tattoo Works

EASTON, Pennsylvania — A staple of the local arts and business community is cementing its roots in Easton as a longtime tenant officially transitions into a property owner.

Elijah Geschwindner, owner of Famous Tattoo Works, has officially purchased the commercial building at 1210 Northampton Street. After renting the location for seven years, the real estate acquisition provides long-term stability for Geschwindner’s team, operations, and loyal clientele.

The purchase was backed by commercial financing arranged by Jeff Barber of Lehigh Financial Group, LLC, who guided Geschwindner through navigating the funding process and securing the necessary equity to finalize the transaction.

“This building has been the home of Famous Tattoo Works for a long time, and transitioning from renting to owning is a huge milestone,” said Geschwindner, who has been a professional tattoo artist for 25 years. “The opportunity to buy had been on the table with my landlord since 2022, but the timing and financial alignment had to be just right. Going all-in to make this property ours brings a real sense of permanence.”

Geschwindner, who began his career at age 19 while studying graphic design, worked in approximately a dozen shops across major markets like Los Angeles, New York City, and Cincinnati before choosing to firmly plant his roots in the Lehigh Valley. He attributes his business longevity to 10 years of sobriety, strict professional integrity, and a dedication to large-scale, Japanese-style tattooing.

With ownership secured, immediate plans for the property involve a series of functional and aesthetic upgrades to enhance the customer experience. Planned renovations include repairing the storefront sidewalk, installing an inviting commercial glass front door, reconfiguring the interior layout to establish an open-concept space, upgrading the lighting, and executing a complete ADA-accessible bathroom remodel. Additionally, a brand-new furnace and heating system will be installed to modernize the facility’s infrastructure.

Beyond cosmetic changes, Geschwindner emphasizes that owning the building provides a stronger foundation for his four employees and deepens his ability to give back locally. Famous Tattoo Works frequently collaborates on community events, including raising funds for the Northbound recovery center, holding pop-ups with neighborhood businesses like Ranch City Brewing, and working with students from nearby Lafayette College.

The transaction was supported administratively by Geschwindner’s assistant, Sarah Black, while legal services were finalized by attorney DiFelice, whose local office resolved initial timeline and representation challenges smoothly. The loan was funded by First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union and Attorney Rob Jacobs handled the closing.

Barber praised Geschwindner’s perseverance and dedication to his craft and community.

“Elijah is a talented artist and an incredibly smart, committed business owner who truly understands his market and the value of client relationships,” Barber said. “It’s a privilege to help local entrepreneurs transition from renting to owning their properties, ensuring their businesses remain neighborhood fixtures for the long haul.”

Reflecting on the milestone, Geschwindner noted that the achievement still feels a bit surreal but marks a clear path forward for future growth, website updates, and an upcoming “celebration of ownership” event for the community.
