Northampton County Seeking Residents Interested in Serving on Human Relations Commission



[Northampton County, PA] – Northampton County is seeking between seven and 13 Northampton County residents interested in being considered for appointment to the newly established Northampton County Human Relations Commission.

The Human Relations Commission was created to support education, outreach, dialogue, and review of matters related to human relations within Northampton County, as outlined in the ordinance establishing the Commission.

Commission members will serve in a volunteer capacity and will play an important role in helping guide discussions, outreach efforts, and community engagement related to human relations issues throughout Northampton County.

Northampton County residents with an interest in public service, community engagement, civil rights, human relations, education, advocacy, mediation, or related fields are encouraged to apply for consideration.

The initial Commission appointments will include staggered one-year, two-year, and three-year terms to establish continuity for future appointments.

• Home address, for purposes of confirming Northampton County residency requirements
