Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Musikfest 2024. How I have missed Musikfest. It was a beautiful day. I ventured to ArtsQuest / SteelStacks to the Wind Creek Stage for the first show of the year.

The Beaches (Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller, Leandra Earl, and Eliza Enman-McDaniel) opened the show for Greta Van Fleet. It was great to be back at Musikfest. The feeling that lingers with all the music, food, people, and love that may float around. That was certainly the message in tonight’s show. Lots of heartbreak, lots of talk about exes, getting in trouble, staying out of trouble. The Beaches are a fun group. They performed a variety of songs including, “What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Paranoid”, “Everything is Boring”, “Cigarette”, “Shower Beer”, “Blame Brett”, and more. They had fun with the crowd. It’s hard not to have fun at Musikfest.

My friend came along with me, and we had an absolute blast. It was great to stop in and visit everyone at the Media Center. They always keep everyone in the loop, and take care of all of us. It’s greatly appreciated. Mother Nature brought as much heat and kept it just as hot as Greta Van Fleet.

Greta Van Fleet is: Josh Kiszka, Jake Kiszka, Sam Kiszka, and Danny Wagner. They genuinely vibed with the crowd. It was packed, and an amazing night for music. Greta Van Fleet took us from foreplay right into a tantric multidimensional orgasm that lasted for two plus hours. It was a beautiful show. You hear Greta Van Fleet, and the artists that they have covered or possibly influenced by. The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Howlin’ Wolf, The Black Keys, The Beatles, Cream, Michael Jackson, and Bob Dylan.

Greta Van Fleet just made it feel like the love was spreading through the night, and it will indeed linger until they visit again. Per Josh, it’s “farewell for now, not good-bye.” “Farewell for Now” was included in the setlist. Was everybody thrilled, YES! They performed such an intense variety of songs that included: “The Falling Sky,” “Caravel,” “Black Smoke Rising,” “Fate of the Faithful,” “The Archer,” and “Light My Love.” “Light My Love” is such a lighter song. The crowd understood the assignment. Greta Van Fleet feels like a band that has been around since the beginning of time, and beyond then. There was a lot of sparkles, pizzazz, glitter, and the crew made the stage beautiful. The pyrotechnics, and a variety of beautiful lighting. The appreciation of the instruments, and the talent they have is unimaginable.

Musikfest 2024, we are glad you are back. Thanks for bringing the music. What a show. What a night, and it’s only the first night. Musikfest goes from August 1st to August 11th.

There are tons of acts to see at Musikfest. Make sure to check it out.
