(12/18/19) – Valley Youth House held their premiere special event, Setting the Stage: Cirque Musica on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.  This year’s event raised over $278,000 to support youth, like Kayla and Anthony, siblings who spoke about their experiences in the foster care system and Valley Youth House life skills and housing programs.  “Setting the Stage” is Valley Youth House’s premier special event in the Lehigh Valley and has raised over $1,097,000 since 2016 to benefit young people and their families served by Valley Youth House.

Many thanks to our Distinguished Honorees, William H. & Denise Spence & the PPL Corporation, Co-Chairs, Anne Baum, Philip C. Jackson, Travis Rhodes, Vincent Sorgi, & Susan Wild, members of the Executive Committee, and our many wonderful sponsors for all of their support of this event and of Valley Youth House.

The Reception, which included a sneak preview of the “Cirque Musica” show, began at 4 p.m. at the Renaissance Allentown followed by an Awards Presentation honoring William H. & Denise Spence and the PPL Corporation. The 310 guests in attendance then adjourned to the “Cirque Musica presents Holiday Wishes” show at the PPL Center.

The proceeds from Setting the Stage support the life-changing programs and services provided to youth and families served by Valley Youth House.  Valley Youth House started in 1973 as a shelter for homeless and runaway youth.  Since then, it has grown into the largest provider of help and support to homeless youth and families in our region.  Every year, over 22,000 young people receive counseling, emergency housing support, life skills training and family therapy to help them either reunite with their families or successfully transition to independent living.  These young people need our help and this event will provide the needed funds.
