ALLENTOWN – November 4, 2019 – Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley, the region’s Federally Qualified Health Center, will hold its annual free health insurance enrollment event to help Lehigh Valley residents find 2020 coverage under the Affordable Care Act. It will take place on Saturday, November 16 from 10 am – 4 pm on the lower level of the Allentown Public Library at 1210 W. Hamilton St.
Assistors will enroll attendees in marketplace health insurance plans with Capital BlueCross, Geisinger, Highmark Blue Shield and UPMC Health Plan, and will also be enrolling for Medicaid.
The following companies will have information tables at the event:
- Aetna Better Health
- AmeriHealth Caritas
- Capital BlueCross (CHIP)
- Gateway Health
- Medicare
- UnitedHealthcare
- UPMC Health Plan
- Whitehall Pharmacy
It will also feature a free Health Fair with:
- diabetes education
- oral cancer screenings
- free flu vaccines provided by the Allentown Health Bureau
- blood pressure checks
- glucose checks
- information on smoking cessation
- other health education and information
