10/21 Vaping Crisis Assemblies at PHS – The Center for Humanistic Change will speak to students about vaping’s impact on the body, the addictive nature of nicotine, the latest information about the use of THC oils in vaping, and outlets for help.
Period 1 7:40-8:45am – Gr 10/12 assembly
Period 2 8:49-9:45am – Gr 9 assembly
Period 3 9:49-10:40am – Gr 11 assembly

10/21 – All Day Open House of the Maker Space in the PHS Library – Students will be inspired to see all that is available to make, tinker with, explore, and get creative in the NEW AND EXPANDED Maker Space thanks to a generous grant from the Parkland Education Foundation

Boundaries for the southern elementary schools will change when Veterans Memorial Elementary School opens next year. The proposed redistricted sending areas were announced this week. Town hall meeting dates to receive public input before borders are finalized will occur as follows:

• Fogelsville – 10/21/19 at 6:30 PM
• Cetronia – 10/24/19 at 6:30 PM
• Jaindl – 10/28/19 at 6:30 PM
• Parkway Manor – 10/30/19 at 6:30 PM

10/22 Art Installation Reception, 6 PM in the Admin Center – Parents and students get recognized for the art on display throughout the Admin Center – come and celebrate them!

10/22 School Board Meeting – National Merit recognition/Outstanding Visual Arts Community recognition

10/23 Middle School Report Cards Distributed

10/24 OMS Fall Play “Charlotte’s Web,” 7 PM, OMS Auditorium with repeat performances at OMS on Sat. at 2 and 7 PM
10/24 SMS Fall Play “Lady Pirates of the Caribbean,” 7 PM, Auditorium with repeat performances at SMS on Sat. and Sun. at 2 PM each day
