October 8, NO SCHOOL, COLUMBUS DAY
October 12 and 13, PHS Fall Play, “26 Pebbles,” 7:30 PM and October 14 at 3 PM.October 18, Community Advisory Council Meeting, 7 PM, Administration Center. The topic of the meeting will be “PSSA/Keystone Assessments – Attendance Regulations.” The public is invited to attend.
October 19 – PHS Students Make Chocolate Dipped Pretzels with Barry Dobil from Josh Early Candies, 10-11 AM. Mr. Barry Dobil , PHS Alumni and owner of Josh Early Candies, will bring his chocolate temperer to a PHS classroom and assist students with special needs to melt chocolate, dip pretzels, and put sprinkles on them. In addition, he is donating all of the chocolate! During all lunches, students will sell the pretzels to fellow classmates. This hands-on project will give students an authentic lesson that involves skills that can be used at many job sites.
