Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center Raises $1200 for the Pulse Memorial in Orlando

ALLENTOWN, PA — In memory of the 49 people whose lives were brutally taken from them on June 12, 2016 during the massacre at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center has raised $1,200 for the One Pulse Foundation, a non-profit working to build a permanent memorial in Orlando.

Funds were raised at the Lehigh Valley’s pulse memorial rally on June 12, 2017 at Stonewall Lehigh Valley, as well as donations from community members and a $300 match from Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.

Adrian Shanker, Executive Director of Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, stated: “The massacre at Pulse was a tragic moment in American history. The completion of a memorial in Orlando is an important symbol of the resilience of our community and a fitting way to remember and honor those whose lives were taken from them.”
