Let’s Play Books! is an independent neighborhood bookstore located in the beautiful, historic Burough of Emmaus, in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.

Even before our shop opened, Let’s Play Books! worked to foster a sense of community. Today, we host over 100 in-store events each year, serving as a dynamic cultural center and resource for the neighborhood. Our ever-expanding and devoted customer base hail from throughout the Lehigh Valley. We also partner with many community organizations and schools for offsite events.

It’s been almost three years since we opened our doors, and our bookstore is at a critical moment in time. We are relocating (just down the street – to 244 Main St.) to a larger space – a place that our experience tells us will be a perfect new home for our community bookshop. Our goal is to make our business sustainable, and we believe we can in our new location. However, the move is a big step up for us, and the growth comes at an expense.

You will add your family signature to the whimsical drawing of the original Let’s Play Books! building, created by local artist Lauren Kuhn. Your donation will include a 2-year membership and invitation to the donors’ thank you reception in November.

$300 –Book Lovers (12)
The staircase to the 3rd floor will be painted to look like books (2017). Your name will adorn your favorite book! Your donation will include signing our art piece, 2-year membership and invitation to the donors’ thank you reception in November.

Individual or company

$1000 – Genre Sponsor
You choose your favorite section to sponsor. Your donation will go directly to building that section. Your name will be added to a plaque in the shop. Your donation includes a 2-year membership, two 1-year memberships to give as gifts, and an invitation to the donors’ thank you reception in November.

$2500 – Gratitude Table Sponsor (1)
Our new location will have a special area(s) dedicated to gratitude. Thank you notes will be available at all times, prompting children (and adults) to take a moment to write expressions of gratitude. Your donation will include a wall plaque dedicating the space in your name, and five 1-year memberships to gift, and an invitation to the donors’ thank you reception in November. If the donation is made by an individual or family, it will include a 3-year membership.

$5000 – Community Room Sponsor (1)
Our new location will have a dedicated community room that will be used for bookclubs, writing sessions, foreign language classes, meetings, and parties – and more! When not scheduled, the room will serve as a place for after-school homework, and quiet time for writers. Your donation will include a wall plaque dedicating the space, 5 x 1 year memberships to gift, and an invitation to the donors’ thank you reception in November. If the donation is made by an individual or family, it will include a life-time membership.
