Receives milestone award from Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce
ALLENTOWN, PA— Local Union 375 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers marks its 100th Anniversary this week culminating with a sold-out dinner at Arts Quest Center at SteelStacks Saturday Night. IBEW Local 375 is a member of The Lehigh Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, which is the umbrella organization of over 20 local unions.
Local 375 was founded in 1914 with 17 charter members. Today, the membership is over 900 and continues to grow annually.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for one of the oldest unions in the state, and I’m proud that they are a member of the Lehigh Valley Building Trades,” said Jim Reilley, President of the Lehigh Valley Building and Construction Trades Council. “Congratulations on 100 years of providing quality workmanship and a safe working environment. We couldn’t be happier for them.”
The union was also presented with a Milestone Award at last Thursday’s Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce annual meeting held at Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem.
“This is a very proud moment in Local 375’s history,” said Dave Reichard, President of Local 375. “We’re proud to play such an important role in building the Lehigh Valley, and I’m sure we’ll continue to do so for another 100 years.”
