FIRST BATCH OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS MAILED TO LEHIGH COUNTY VOTERS

ALLENTOWN, PA– The Lehigh County Election Board today confirmed that the first batch of mail-in and absentee ballots has been mailed to voters who requested them. They are in transit and will start arriving in voter mailboxes early next week. Additional ballots will be mailed on a rolling basis as applications are processed. Voters who have requested mail-in ballots should begin receiving them in the coming days. Ballots may arrive on different days depending on mail delivery.

“Democracy works best when people have the information they need to participate with confidence,” said Lehigh County Executive Josh Siegel. “Our job is to make sure voters know how, when and where they can cast their ballot and understand that their vote will be handled securely and accurately. Whether you vote by mail or in person, we want every eligible voter to have the information they need to participate.”

Pennsylvania voters who wish to vote by mail can apply online through the Pennsylvania Department of State’s mail-in ballot application portal or by submitting a paper application to the Lehigh County Voter Registration Office. The deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 27, 2026.

“Our election staff has been working to prepare, process and securely deliver ballots to voters across Lehigh County,” said Mike Paston, Election Director for Lehigh County. “We want voters to know what to expect and where to turn if they have questions about their ballot or the voting process. Providing clear, accurate information is an important part of ensuring the public has confidence that their vote will be counted.”
