Interview with Content Creator Krysta Marie
Hello Krysta, Thank you so much for taking time to do this interview for The Valley Ledger. Please tell how you got started, and how all this manifested for you?
K.M. – I fell in love with the industry when I started interning for WRFY Y-102 in Reading Pa . I desperately needed an internship, so I started looking. I was let down by one place and broke my heart honestly and I felt stranded and unsure where to turn. One night, I met a few colleagues out at OTW, and this is where it all began. I met Vince Angelo who at the time was the Production Director at WRFY Y102 in Reading, PA. He heard about me getting let down and offered me to come into the station the next day to visit for a tour. I went on working for them that Summer after creating advertising spots for sponsors and board operating on the weekends for live events. I worked there for 5 years.

K.M.-

What made you want to be in this industry?
K.M.- It is a ton of fun. I found my niche. I honed my skills throughout the years. My voice is my natural talent. I love to meet people and network. I am currently running my own business of my own, helping small and local businesses promote by using social media such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram & many other platforms. Koffee with Krysta where I show a variety of passions of mine in life and share them with you! I enjoy being creative and putting a fun twist on production.
What would you say to others that want to be in the industry.
K.M.- It takes a lot of time, dedication, patience, effort, consistency, hard work and of course passion overall. Research before you go out and invest and get only what you need. You can always grow.
What advice or words of wisdom would you offer?
K.M.- Do your very best! Try, try again, if you don’t succeed! There are endless possibilities! Reach out for help, and remember practice makes perfect!
