Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce to Host Annual Heritage Day Celebration on July 4th
Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber Presents: Heritage Day
July 4, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
SLATINGTON, PA — Held annually on Independence Day, Heritage Day serves as a meaningful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of those who have answered the call to serve our nation throughout its history. The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, invites community members to attend its annual Heritage Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4, at Slatington Baptist Church. This cherished community tradition honors the nation’s heritage, celebrates local pride, and recognizes the sacrifices of those who have served our country, both past and present.
The free event is open to the public and will feature live music, light refreshments, and an inspiring program centered on patriotism, service, and community. No registration is required.
This year’s featured speaker is Colonel Kevin Dellicker, a local business owner, pastor, author, and distinguished 31-year veteran of the United States Armed Forces. Col. Dellicker currently serves as Commander of the 193rd Air Operations Group in State College, Pennsylvania, where he leads a team responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating joint air and space operations worldwide.
Throughout his military career, Col. Dellicker has held numerous leadership positions within both the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and Pennsylvania Air National Guard. He has deployed multiple times in support of the Global War on Terrorism, including tours in Southwest Asia and Afghanistan, and has played a critical role in national security operations both domestically and abroad.
“It’s an honor to represent veterans and military members at this important celebration. We wouldn’t have our freedom without the sacrifice of those in uniform who served each time our country called,” said Col. Dellicker.
In addition to his military service, Col. Dellicker is the founder and president of a technology company specializing in cybersecurity solutions. Alongside his wife, Susan, he is also the co-author of Twenty Percent Soldiers, a book honoring the citizen soldiers who have served America since the Revolutionary War.
“Heritage Day is more than a celebration of our nation’s independence—it’s an opportunity to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who have defended the freedoms we enjoy today,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, EVP Chambers of Commerce. “As we gather with family, friends, neighbors, and veterans, we remember the sacrifices made throughout our nation’s history and express our gratitude to those who continue to serve. We are honored to welcome Colonel Dellicker, whose life of service exemplifies the courage, commitment, and patriotism that Heritage Day is designed to recognize.”
The Heritage Day Celebration brings together residents, families, veterans, active-duty military members, and community leaders to honor America’s enduring legacy of freedom. Through reflection, remembrance, and community fellowship, attendees will pay tribute to the generations of Americans whose service and sacrifice have protected the liberties we cherish today.
