Bethlehem, PA – The Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) is pleased to announce, the appointment of Brandon B. Horlick as the principal of Liberty High School pending School Board approval.
Mr. Horlick will be the 14th principal in Liberty High School’s history, succeeding Dr. Harrison Bailey III, who resigned in February 2025 to accept a superintendent position in the Wilson School District.
With over 15 years of experience in secondary education, Mr. Horlick brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success to Liberty High School. He most recently served as the principal of Broughal Middle School in Bethlehem, where he led significant school improvement initiatives, including the successful implementation of data-driven strategies that have enhanced student performance and closed achievement gaps.
Mr. Horlick holds a master’s degree from Kutztown University in secondary education social studies, principal certification from Moravian University, and certifications in Special Education and Secondary Education. Additionally, he has held roles as a middle school assistant principal, special education teacher, and social studies teacher, showcasing his versatility and dedication to meeting the diverse needs of all students.
Superintendent Dr. Jack P. Silva expressed his confidence in Mr. Horlick’s ability to lead Liberty High School into its next chapter: “Brandon’s extensive experience in instructional leadership, coupled with his skills in creating a positive school culture, makes him the ideal choice for this important role. In his new role, Mr. Horlick will focus on driving academic excellence, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, and engaging with the community to build a shared vision for the future of Liberty High School. His leadership will play a critical role in supporting both the academic and personal growth of the students and staff at Liberty.
