The District was nominated for the award by Mr. Brandon Libro, 8th Grade Literacy teacher at South Mountain Middle School, due to the ongoing support he receives as a Psychological Operations Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve.

The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the State Chair. The Seven Seals Award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, and support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.

The Allentown School District stands among the uppermost employers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be recognized with this honor, reflecting our commitment to fostering a supportive workplace for those who serve. The award will be on display in the Administration Center along with a Statement of Support that demonstrates our outward commitment to the Guard and Reserves.

The award was presented to Superintendent Dr. Carol D. Birks and members of our Talent Management team by Roslyn Schroeder of the Pennsylvania Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
