New Steel Yard scare zone highlights exciting new additions
ALLENTOWN, PA (September 10, 2024) – Dorney Park is transformed and ready for Halloween. On Friday the 13th, the park will begin its 2024 HAUNT season at 6 PM. This year promises to be the Lehigh Valley’s largest celebration of all things spooky, scary, and downright terrifying.
The park announced last week that the new Steel Yard themed area was getting a facelift, becoming the new FORGE YOUR FeAR scare zone.
Returning Haunt attractions include the following (7):
- The Ghost in the Machine, Tourist Trap, Blood on the Bayou, Trick or Treat, Blackout, Necropolis, and Roadside Stop N’ Chop
Returning Scare Zones include the following (5):
- Carnevil, Port of Call, Midway Misfits, The Hollow, and Dystopia
Halloween Haunt runs Friday and Saturday nights, September 13 – October 27. The park is also bringing back the popular HAUNT Sundays on October 6, 13, 20, and 27.
Halloween Haunt offers night rides on the all-new Iron Menace roller coaster, live entertainment, delicious seasonal treats, and more.
Halloween Haunt is not recommended for children under 13. Most park rides and attractions will be in operation. Guests are not permitted to attend HAUNT in costume.
Dorney Park will also launch a new family-friendly daytime Halloween event called Tricks and Treats on Saturday. The festivities include fun games, treats, pumpkin picking, trick-or-treating, live shows, and more!

Guests who purchase a 2025 Gold Pass now will get unlimited visits to Tricks and Treats and Halloween Haunt in 2024.
