Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! For Wellness: Slate Heritage Trail – 10:00AM – 12:00PM EDT at Slate Heritage Trail, 7808 7th Street, Slatington PA 18080. We’ll check out this “Rails-to Trails” project, that uses the former Lehigh Valley Railroad right-of-way beginning at a junction with the D&L National Heritage Corridor Trail. There are four bridges on the Slate Heritage Trail—an original trestle that was restored, 2 pedestrian bridges, and the Trout Run Covered Bridge that was built & dedicated in 2004. Questions? Wildlands Conservancy – Magnificent Moths! – 7:30PM – 8:30PM EDT at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049. Let’s search for winged wonders! Most moth caterpillars are camouflaged to hide from predators. However, many of them glow under a black light! Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! For Wellness: Peace Valley Nature Center – 10:00AM – 12:00PM EDT at Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N. Chapman Road, Doylestown PA 18901. Explore the trails, bird blinds, and bridges at Peace Valley Park, where the North Branch of the Neshaminy Creek flows into Lake Galina. At the end of the hike, we’ll visit the Peace Valley Nature Center which includes a fascinating display of Native American arrowheads and tools. Questions?
