This year’s event will feature a community conversation on cross-sector solutions featuring New Bethany Board members.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (August 1, 2024) New Bethany will hold its 33rd annual Souper Day on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at ArtsQuest. Proceeds from the event will support New Bethany’s efforts to serve those affected by housing, food insecurity, and poverty in the region.

“We are so thrilled to bring Souper Day back for the 33rd year,” said New Bethany’s Executive Director, Marc Rittle. “This is an annual gathering of hope and support. We believe attendees will gain a unique perspective on how a community comes together to address poverty, hunger, and homelessness.

The annual event connects New Bethany with community leaders, donors, partners and neighbors, allowing organizations and individuals to deepen their understanding of the issues facing our community and the solutions New Bethany hopes to build. Kelly A. Chando, CFRE, director of development at St. Luke’s University Health Network, will serve as the event’s emcee.

Event attendees will hear from New Bethany’s clients and staff about the organization’s progress this past year and its future goals, setting the standard for the year ahead.
