The Emmaus Arts Commission (EAC) will host its 17th Annual SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 12-4pm at the Triangle Park in Emmaus. The SnowBlast is an outdoor event that celebrates the local arts while bringing community members together to enjoy this wonderful time of year.
SnowBlast 2024 will feature over 35 local artists, arts-related vendors, live music from local residents, community art projects, ice sculpting, local food trucks and a variety of free family-friendly events throughout downtown businesses.
This year, the event will feature the SnowBlast photo contest, which is sponsored by Dan’s Camera City and themed “Frozen in Time.” Photos will be displayed to the public in Emmaus Borough Hall during the festival, and awards will be given for the top entries from professionals, hobbyists, and students.
Attendees can also participate in virtual reality demonstrations courtesy of Juxtahub, an Emmaus-based arts and innovation center. JuxtaHub will be collaborating with the EAC and Emmaus High School’s Jasper Project to offer an augmented reality gnome scavenger hunt throughout town.
The annual gnome auction fundraiser is also back! The SnowBlast festival will have around 15 ‘80s-inspired garden gnomes designed and embellished by local artists. Gnomes can be found in the borough community room during the festival. They will also be appearing at local shops throughout the rest of winter as we prepare for the end of the auction.
Along with the photo contest and gnome auction, storytime with the ice princess and other entertainment will be available inside the new borough community room during the festival.
Artists and vendors interested in participating should submit an application at the following link: http://emmausarts.org/event-list/snowblast-winter-arts-festival/
Submissions for the photo contest are being accepted now, with a closing date of March 2 at 3pm. Entries can be made at the following link: http://emmausarts.org/event-list/2024-photo-contest/

The Emmaus Arts Commission is the non-profit, art sector of the Borough of Emmaus. We are making art to make an impact. EAC’s mission and primary role is to foster the arts and culture in and around Emmaus, PA. The EAC offers events, programs, and scholarships as well as advocates for a variety of art forms in our area. Currently, focused on beautification programs throughout Emmaus, the EAC is painting hydrants, planning murals, and encouraging our community to approach art in all aspects of life. We have recently created an environmental art committee which will cultivate and integrate a love of art in nature and outdoor environments. We have recently been awarded a Lettuce Grow Farmstand which we donated to the Emmaus Public Library as the start of our Art in the Garden initiative for our town. Keep your eyes open for more gardens inside and outside of our public spaces.
We are focused on raising awareness and visibility of the arts in and around the greater Emmaus Borough area. We encourage you to participate in a variety of art engagement experiences for all ages and stages including music, visual arts, performing arts, film/video, and specialty community beautification projects.
