Bethlehem, PA (11/9/2023) – The event commenced with a reception and awards ceremony, recognizing Rich and Eileen Wuerthele and Crayola, as their Distinguished Honorees for their longstanding philanthropic efforts and commitment to empowering young people through creativity.

Valley Youth House alumna Khadijah McPherson, MSW was also welcomed to the stage as the evening’s Youth Speaker, to share her inspiring story of resilience and determination, highlighting the crucial support she received from Valley Youth House’s Independent Living caseworkers.

“I am truly amazed by the incredible generosity and support we received for this year’s ‘Setting the Stage’ event,” said Tom Harrington, President and Executive Director of Valley Youth House. “This event has proven that when a community comes together to uplift our youth, we can achieve remarkable results. Following the reception, attendees then attended the sold-out Stevie Nicks concert at the PPL Center.

Setting the Stage is Valley Youth House’s premier fundraising event which celebrates the positive impact that those involved have on the lives of vulnerable individuals in the community. All proceeds from the event will benefit the life-changing programs and services provided to youth and families served by Valley Youth House.
