Members of Congress, PA Speaker of the House, Legislators, Mayors, Commissioners & More All Quickly Back Bizzarro
Democrat Ryan Bizzarro isn’t taking on Pennsylvania’s most extremist statewide office holder alone. Only two days after launching his bid to defeat anti-choice, anti-democracy, anti-worker state Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Bizzarro today announced his first round of more than 150 Pennsylvania officials at the local, county, state and federal levels who have rallied around him to endorse his candidacy.
“We must curb the spread of extremism in both our politics and government, and that’s why, up and down the ballot, I stand with candidates who are pro-democracy and pro-women’s rights. In the race for Pennsylvania Treasurer, that’s Ryan Bizzarro,” said Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04). “Stacy Garrity is too extreme for our Commonwealth. Ryan will serve all Pennsylvanians with integrity and decency.”
“We need a state treasurer who understands we need to invest in a future that works for everyone — and protects the people’s money,” said Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton. “Ryan Bizzarro is that leader, and I’ve got his back. Please join me in supporting my friend and Pennsylvania’s next State Treasurer, Ryan Bizzarro.”
“We need a state treasurer who understands we need to invest in a future that works for everyone — and protects the people’s money,” said Congressman Dwight Evans (D-03). “Ryan Bizzarro is that leader, and I’m proud to support him in is his race for treasurer.”
“Working families deserve a chance to retire. Ryan Bizzarro has been an effective fighter in Harrisburg to secure retiree pensions,” said Congressman Matt Cartwright (PA-08). “As Treasurer, he’ll keep fighting for retirees. I stand with Ryan Bizzarro.”
“The people need a state treasurer who’s going to stand up for workers and to protect the people’s money, without exploiting the office to promote radical agendas that take away rights and threaten our democracy,” Bizzarro said. “I couldn’t be more proud to earn the trust of these leaders from every corner of the Commonwealth, and I’m ready to earn the trust of every voter in every county.”
“This is just the start of our campaign and only the first wave of announced endorsements. I look forward to rolling out even more as the campaign continues,” said Bizzarro.
Bizzarro announced his candidacy last Tuesday with a video that can be viewed here.
