Allentown, February 11, 2016 –Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley(HfHLV) is pleased to announce the appointment of two officers to its Board of Directors and three new general members. Kelly Berfield will serve as the Board Chairman and Annette Drobil as the Vice Chairman. New Board members include Jane Long, Chris Porreca, and Bob Reinhardt.
Kelly Berfield joined the HfHLV in 2012. Kelly obtained her real estate license in 1997 and her broker’s license in 2007. She is the recipient of both the Forty Under 40 Lehigh Valley Business Award and The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Kelly is an adjunct professor at Lehigh University where she teaches real estate, marketability and feasibility courses. She is a Senior Vice President at Colliers International where she is a real estate broker specializing in commercial sales and leasing.
Annette Drobil recently transitioned from working at Lehigh Valley CIL coordinating services for adults with autism. Graduating from Widener University with a biology degree, Annette worked in pharmaceutical research for the bulk of her career then transitioned to working to help people with disabilities find decent housing. Annette’s volunteer experience with Habitat LV started in 2007 when she joined the Mentoring committee, eventually serving as committee chair. Annette joined the Board in 2015 and was appointed Board Vice Chair in 2016.
Jane Long is Shareholder and Chair of the Corporate, Business and Banking Group and a shareholder at Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C., where she handles commercial transactions, including commercial real estate, financing, leasing, business entity formation and organization, business acquisitions and sales, and contracts. Jane graduated from Duke University, summa cum laude, and earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
Chris Porreca is Executive Vice President for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms hockey team. Chris is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business operations with the phantoms including marketing, ticket sales, graphic design, and game day presentation. Chris has been with the Phantoms organization for almost 7 years, first starting with the team when they relocated to Glens Falls, NY. Porreca is no stranger to not for profit organizations as he was the director of development and director of competition for Special Olympics New York.
Bob joined the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity this January, realizing a long held desire to support the organization. He works at Olympus America in Center Valley as the Group Vice President, Service and Strategic Marketing. A resident of Coopersburg, PA, he moved with his wife and two children from Fort Salonga, NY about 9 years ago when Olympus relocated their Corporate Headquarters from Long Island. Before living in NY, they also lived in New Jersey and California.
