Bethlehem, Pa, Feb. 21, 2023— The Banana Factory at ArtsQuest announces an exciting inaugural event, The People’s Ball, taking place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 7 p.m., in the Crayola Gallery.
The People’s Ball is a party that celebrates art, style and our community. Guests are invited to channel their inner fashionistas and strut their stuff for this fun and festive event, celebrating our creative community. Guests can also take part in a Best in Style competition judged by local style icons.
The exhibition for this exciting event is ‘An Uncommon Thread: Fashion is Fine Art’ by Bethlehem-based fashion designer, Barbara Kavchok. The exhibition will feature 14 original hand-made designs, gloriously crafted and inspired by the juxtaposition of organically shaped plant forms and man-made straight lines.
“We’re thrilled to be able to host this first-of-its-kind event,” commented Lisa Harms, Senior Director of Visual Arts and Education at ArtsQuest. “Inspired by our spring fashion exhibition from local designer Barbara Kavchok is a treat for all; combining art, style, and community will make for a truly fun and festive event.”
