George White has joined Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) as a senior project manager.  He will be working in the firm’s civil group, which primarily assists municipal clients with stormwater management and water quality concerns.  The group also provides municipal retainer engineering services.

White has more than 34 years of experience in environmental consulting, which includes serving as chairman of the Warren County Environmental Commission where he helped create the county’s Environmental Resources Inventory.  His experience also includes developing wetland mitigation plans, environmental impact studies, reforestation plans, endangered species surveys, and trail plans.

White’s dedication to the environment continues outside the office as a community volunteer.  He served as chairman of the Leaser Lake Heritage Foundation for more than 10 years, coordinating funding for a $4.8 million dam repair project, assisting with the creation of the Leaser Lake Accessible Recreation Area, and coordinating several fish habitat projects.

He also has extensive experience serving as a project manager on commercial and residential development projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia.

HRG’s civil group manager Jason Hinz says, “HRG has been providing commercial land development services in the Lehigh Valley for years and has worked with numerous local governments on stormwater management and MS4 compliance.  George knows both markets very well in this region, and we believe his knowledge and commitment will greatly enhance the services we’re providing to clients in the area.”
