Lehighton’s ‘Wine & More on 1st’ Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Wine & More on 1st!
Join the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation as they celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Wine & More on 1st on Thursday, May 20th! Located on 1st Street in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, Wine & More on 1st is Lehighton’s first tasting room, providing a relaxed atmosphere to sample wines, spirits, beer and, as the name implies, “more.”
“Wine and More on 1st has been an act of love for the property and for the business going into it,” said Kylie Adams, AVP of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “The historic property was purchased last year by Tina Smith-Henninger and her family and features over 14,000 square foot of space. After seeing her success at the Palmerton Tasting Room, we cannot wait to see her thrive in Lehighton next!”
The tasting room will feature the wines of Stone Mountain Wine Cellars of Pine Grove, a family-owned farm who specialize in Norton Grapes and fruit orchards. With a selection of wines including sweet, dry and fruit-forward, there is something for everyone.
In an interview with the Carbon Chamber, Mrs. Smith-Henninger explained, “I picked Stone Mountain Wine Cellars because I’m a farm girl, flat out. I know how difficult it can be if you have one bad season, it can really mess you up for years – so I wanted to go with someone who had a good selection, good price, and someone who operates with a working farm. Through supporting local farmers, local brewers and local distillers, as well as local restaurants! The tasting room suggests that they are “BYOF – Bring Your Own Food,” encouraging those stopping in to bring snacks and takeout options from their neighboring Lehighton restaurants such as Alfies, Lorenzo’s and Bonnie & Clyde’s.
While Wine & More on 1st opened its doors officially for the Wine on the Ribbon celebration, the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 20th at 5:30 PM. The event is open to the public and all are encouraged to stick around to sample the products on hand.
