Christmas trees and other yard waste will be collected in the city of Allentown during the weeks of Sunday, January 10 and Sunday, January 17.

Residents should place their tree and other yard waste out on their recycling night.

• Please do not place the tree in a plastic bag.
• Make sure all the decorations and the stand are removed.
• Other yard waste must in containers, paper lawn bags or bundled.  No plastic bags allowed.
• No artificial trees will be accepted.
• The collection is weather dependent.

The Bureau of Recycling and Solid Waste recycles the trees by grinding them into mulch which is then available to Allentown residents when the site is open.

Winter hours for the Yard Waste Site at 1401 Oxford Drive will be on Saturdays, January 9, February 6, and March 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for yard waste drop-off.
