This in-person event is kicking off the Fall FEST season raising money for local nonprofits with a PBS39 branded corn maze, pumpkins, children’s activities and more
Bethlehem, PA. – August 28, 2020 – PBS39 has teamed up with Valley Fruits & Veggies in Bethlehem as the 2020 partner of their annual corn maze. The pumpkin and corn maze season starts with a Community Giveback day on September 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This one day ticket only event will give early season entry to the public to enjoy safe and socially distant farm activities like hayrides, a children’s play discovery area and a 15 acre corn maze. The entry cost will be just 10 dollars.
“We could not be more excited to provide the Lehigh Valley with the best new fall experience for families! Partnering with amazing non-profits in our area to give back was the proper way to kick off the 2020 Fall FEST season on our farm. Partnering with PBS39 for our corn maze design was a perfect opportunity to continue to work together as a community to promote #LVStrong,” said Deb Colitas, owner of Valley Fruits & Veggies.
Chris and Deb Colitas have had the pleasure of running multiple businesses together such as The Gyro Company at Coca-Cola Park. As serial entrepreneurs, they have found great joy in providing products and services to others while adding jobs to the Lehigh Valley and they have been doing so with strawberries at Valley Fruits & Veggies since 2015. Adding the corn maze and pumpkins to their offering adds a fun fall activity for all.
This Community Giveback day will be the first of its kind for the local farm and aims to help nonprofits fundraise during a particularly difficult time. Other community partners involved include: Every Ribbon Counts, Aspire to Autonomy, Angel 34, Synchronicity Recovery Foundation and Community Partners 4 Kids.
“Having spent so many months without seeing our favorite PBS39 members and staff we are beyond thrilled to be a partner in this in-person effort to safely inspire the community to gather and give back,” said Robin Kulesa, Membership Director.
After the Community Give Back Day, Valley Fruits & Veggies will be open every weekend through October 31st for all to enjoy. Tickets for Community Give Back Day can be purchased at ValleyFruitsAndVeggies.com/Community-Give-Back/.
