Bethlehem, PA. – July 21, 2020 – PBS39 will premiere a one hour program, Community Conversation: Educating Kids During COVID-19, on Tuesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. In this conversation, host Monica Evans and guests will explore the challenges facing kids in the upcoming school year and how students, teachers and parents will adapt.
“These are important conversations to have. Parents all over the Commonwealth are anxiously waiting to hear their schools districts’ reopening plans so they can plan and prep their children,” said Monica Evans, Executive Producer.
In this discussion, panelists including Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera and local teachers, will tackle concerns including bussing logistics, how to integrate one-way hallways, maintaining social distancing guidelines and how to get school districts across the state equipped to continue online learning.
Concerns from educators such as what the time off policy will be should they need to quarantine, will also be addressed.
