WEEKLY UPDATES

 

March 6 – Girls Basketball plays in first round of States vs. Spring-Ford at Easton, 6 PM

March 6,7,8 – OMS and SMS Musicals as follows:

Springhouse Middle School – Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella G2K
Dates/times: Friday 3/6 7pm; Saturday 3/7 2pm; Sunday 3/8 2pm. General admission seating.
Check out the information for a special event on 3/7 from 12-1pm entitled, “Cupcakes and Crepes with Cinderella.”
Orefield Middle School  – Guys and Dolls Jr.
Dates/times: Friday 3/6 7pm; Saturday 3/7 2pm & 7pm. Reserved seating.
The shows run around an hour and a half with intermission so it is perfect for younger audience members.
Admission to the shows are $7 each and will be available at the door for all shows.

March 9 – Lutron/SMS Collaboration Project in Tech Ed Class, 1 PM – 8th grade students will unveil their electronic coin counting machines that were co-developed by SMS Tech Ed Teachers and Lutron engineers.

March 11 – 3rd Annual Friends of Jazz Clinic and Concert at Orefield Middle School – Clinic from 5-8 for Middle School students and then a free concert open to the public from 8-9 featuring the OMS Jazz Band, the SMS Jazz Band, and the Moravian College Big Band.

March 12 – Dine at PJ Whelihan’s on Walbert to support Post Prom – all day long!

March 13 – Professional Development Day with Ken Shelton – Schools Closed
Middle and High school teachers will spend a half day with Ken Shelton.  Teachers will participate in hands on activities that tie together the following themes:  student engagement, student access, student opportunity, equity, school culture and diversity.
