The James Supra and Sarah Ayers Quartet will conclude the Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation’s 2019 Saturday in the Park concert series at historic West Park on Saturday, September 7 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Both James and Sarah are Lehigh Valley Music Award winners. Supra won the Best Harmonica Award for 19 consecutive years before taking himself out of the running this year. The award has been renamed James Supra Outstanding Harmonicist. Ayers won the 2019 Female Vocalist (Industry Ballot) Award. It was her second win in the category.
When they are not performing together, James heads the James Supra Blues Band and Sarah leads the Sarah Ayers Band. Both bands are Lehigh Valley staples.
In 2019, the City of Allentown’s Saturday in the Park Series also featured The BC Combo, Hector Rosado and Orchestra “Hache,” Lucky 7, and The Large Flowerheads.
West Park is located between 15th and 16th Street between Linden and Turner streets.
