ON OCTOBER 16TH /7:30PM THE DAN DECHELLIS TRIO WILL CELEBRATE THE RELEASE OF “MOVING MOUNTAINS’WITH A PERFORMANCE AT MORAVIAN COLLEGE IN FOY HALL
The Dan DeChellis Trio, including pianist, Dan DeChellis, bassist Scot Hornick and drummer Tom Papadatos will perform tunes from their new release “Moving Mountains” in Foy Hall at Moravian College. The evening will also include music from the last two CD’s, “My Age of Anxiety” and “Strength and Anger”.
Dan DeChellis is a Lehigh Valley based musician with a wide array of experiences in the rock, jazz and classical world. He is currently a professor of music at Moravian where he teaches Jazz Piano and Improvisation.
Dan DeChellis raised the funds for his latest release through a successful kickstarter Campaign which has allowed him to not only release CD’s for his new record, but also press vinyl. The new record, “Moving Mountains” was recorded straight to tape and has embraced a pure analogue process throughout. This performance will also be recorded with the hopes of releasing a live record and possible DVD this winter.
