May 1, 2017 (Barto, PA) Wild Fox Farm announced today the last two events of their series titled “Meet the Farmer” will be held May 6 and May 16. Meet the Farmer will provide opportunities for the public to meet owners Ben and Karah Davies and learn about the experience of a local farm providing vegetables and meat through different channels such as a CSA share or through a farm to table at a Lehigh Valley restaurant. Wild Fox Farm is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504.
Wild Fox Farm, founded in 2010, is family owned and operated by Ben and Karah Davies and is located in Pennsylvania’s Butter Valley managing over 65 acres. Wild Fox Farm produces 10 acres of vegetables, pasture raised poultry, eggs, pork, and grass fed lamb using regenerative farming practices and also offers summer, fall and winter Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships.
Meet the Farmer is designed to introduce Wild Fox Farm to new audiences in order to raise awareness of local farms, the benefits of being a part of a CSA share, and how farm to table is important in not only supporting local farms but raising awareness of buying foods locally.
May 6, 2017 Wild Fox Farm will host a Meet the Meat event at their farm which is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504. Meet the Meat will be held from 10 am until noon with the Wild Fox Farm store open for shopping as well an opportunity to meet with owners Ben and Karah Davies and discuss the meat products available through Wild Fox Farm. The event is open to the public and family friendly. No reservations are required.
The final event in the Meet the Farmer series will be held May 16 at Wild Fox Farm which is located at 5015 Longview Lane, Barto, PA 19504. This event will be an open house event held from 10 am to 1 pm. The event will be free and open to the public. The open house will give guests the opportunity to tour the farm, learn the inner workings of a modern local farm as well as a chance to register for the summer CSA share program.
