Lehigh Financial Group Package Helps Lehigh Valley Restaurateur Bring Authentic Hispanic Food To Easton Region
Adobo Latin Kitchen Set For Feb. 13 Opening In 25th Street Shopping Center
Allentown, PA — A co-owner of Pints & Pies on Northampton Street in Easton is expanding his family’s restaurant portfolio to bring authentic Hispanic and Spanish food to the eastern part of Northampton County, courtesy of a financing package arranged by Lehigh Financial Group of Allentown.
Adobo Latin Kitchen is set to open Feb. 13 in the 25th Street Shopping Center just off Route 22 in Wilson Borough, said Jose Pinargote, who owns the new restaurant with his wife, Nilda Pinargote.
“We worked with Jose and his partner at Pints & Pies and we quickly learned that he is a great businessman with a great plan for success,” said Jeffrey Barber, who operates Lehigh Financial Group with colleague Lewis Edwards. “When Jose and Nilda came to us for help with this new project, we wanted to do our best to help them succeed.”
The Pinargotes, who are Puerto Rican, are aiming for diverse clientele who are looking for authentic Puerto Rican comfort food in a friendly, welcome environment, said Jose Pinargote. Nilda Pinargote’s family is also helping with the new restaurant, which is designed to reflect the region’s industrial heritage.
“We want to reach out to cater to the non-Spanish people who are looking for something different. The Spanish people will find us,” Pinargote said. “Our menus will be in English with Spanish translations and we designed the place for a fast, casual dining experience.”
Pinargote, an automotive industry professional, also praised Barber and the Lehigh Financial staff for their help in arranging the financing for the new enterprise.
“Jeff is absolutely amazing. He helped us refinance Pints & Pies from owner-financed to a Small Business Administration loan two years ago,” Pinargote said. “This is a complete start-up and Jeff is awesome when it comes to pairing you up with the correct lender.”
