Premium Pet Department
at Forks Township Location
Pet Adoption Day Slated Saturday, Jan. 21
EASTON, PA (JANUARY 17, 2017) — Customers can now shop for their four legged friends and home DIY projects in one convenient location, at Cantelmi’s Ace Hardware, 1805 Sullivan Trail, Easton, PA.
Family owned and operated since 1922, third generation owner Rick Cantelmi says the retailer has added a 1,000-square foot premium pet department to its Forks Township location.
To celebrate the new addition, a Pet Adoption Day featuring small pets from The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, Easton, is slated for Saturday, January 21, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The animal center will be promoting waived adoption fees for any cats that have been at the shelter for more than 2 years. Raffle baskets will be part of the day’s fundraising efforts for animal shelter as well.
The pet-friendly Cantelmi Hardware now carries popular, grain-free dog and cat foods from Blue Buffalo, Diamond Care, Purina Pro Plan, Taste of the Wild, Merrick, Under the Sun and Friskies in Forks Township. Also, toys and treats from the likes of Kong, and Greenies, to pet beds, litter, carry cases and crates, pet bowls, leashes, and more are now staples at the hardware store.
“Our family owned hardware store has been pet friendly for decades,” says Rick, who adds that he grew up in a feline loving family, thanks to his mom, a true cat lover.
“We wanted to bring added convenience to our customers with a top tier pet department,” says Ricks. He adds, “Now, when customers are in the market for home repair products or DIY projects, they can also shop for Fido or their kitties, or vice versa.”
Cantelmi Hardware, with locations in Bethlehem, Pa, and Forks Township, is noted for 95 years of customer service. A grand reopening of the Easton store, which opened in 2006, is slated for early March 2017.
