We all have good intentions when we set goals and make resolutions for a new year – but good intentions only last so long. I am a goal-setter by nature, but this New Year’s Eve left me feeling a little overwhelmed with the amount of goals on my list.
This past year has brought incredible change for my family, between the marriage of my oldest daughter, Jackie, moving my parents up to live in Bethlehem and now moving my daughter, Kelsey, down to Nashville for her new job, I haven’t had much time to focus on myself. So my resolutions for 2017 have a central theme: refocus, reorganize and revitalize!
My first attempt at writing my resolutions looked something like this: 1. Drink more water 2. Get more sleep 3. Eat Better 4. Work out more 5. Make more time for charitable causes 6. Organize my office
Sounds fine, right? Admirable and attainable, but very off-the-shelf. I wondered how I could improve my goal-setting process to make 2017 my best year yet. Kelsey and I had many hours in the car to talk about our resolutions and how to make them happen, and we came up with some tips for making the best out of the New Year’s resolution process… click here to read Carrie and Kelsey’s tips for setting up your New Year’s resolution and more articles at www.bailiwickinteriordesign.com
