(Allentown, PA) This week, Congressman-elect Ryan Mackenzie, serving the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania’s 7th District, was assigned his committees for the upcoming legislative session in Washington. Those committees are Education and the Workforce, Foreign Affairs, and Homeland Security.

“As I approach the upcoming term, I’m looking forward to serving the people of the Greater Lehigh Valley on these committees,” said Mackenzie. “The agenda that the voters have demanded is clear: more economic opportunities, lower prices, secure borders, and a foreign policy that puts our country first. Having representation on these committees will ensure that the Greater Lehigh Valley has a leading voice on these issues. I’m also glad that my experience in the PA State House — serving as the Republican chair of the Labor & Industry Committee, co-chairing the International Relations Caucus, and leading the charge for new measures targeting illegal immigration — has prepared me to serve on these committees and tackle these challenges.

“I look forward to working on behalf of our entire community in the upcoming Congress and fighting for a safer, stronger, and more prosperous country.”
