The Greater Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce, a proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, was thrilled to offer a hand at Assante Italian Restaurant’s 20th Anniversary celebration with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. This Northampton business is built on love, food, and family, with a heaping helping of parmesan of course! Community members have come to love the family atmosphere in Northampton’s favorite Italian eatery.
Over 200 tickets were pre-sold to the event, with community and Chamber members joining the festivities.
“Our business is built on the community and being a part of it. We owe our success to the community and their unwavering support through the good times and the challenging ones, like COVID. We were thrilled to celebrate family, community, and 20 great years!” said Nicola Assante.
“Nic and his family have made Assante’s a staple and model member of the community and the Chamber,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, EVP of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “They not only have given us a place to break bread for years, but they have participated in community initiatives like restaurant weeks, the Christmas at the Roxy fundraiser and more. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate this milestone with them and look forward to many more years of patronage and partnership.”
The Assante family moved to the US from Naples, Italy over 20 years ago, and made the Northampton community home. When the family first moved to Northampton, there were six of them – Mario, Luisa, Rosanna, Giulio, Nic, and Nunzia.
Mario and Luisa moved to the US in the hopes of giving their children a better life – fast forward to today, and the family celebrated their 20th anniversary of thriving! The Assante family is incredibly grateful to the entire Northampton community for supporting them through COVID, and for joining them in celebration of an absolutely phenomenal 20 years in business.
“Assante’s is a shining example of putting love on the plate. Anybody who’s had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at this fine establishment has undoubtedly tasted that love! Food and family go hand in hand for the Assante family, and all that love really shows up in the service, the delectable dishes – and when you inevitably need to be rolled out the door at the conclusion of your meal!” said Kate Hartney, Coordinator at the Northampton Area Chamber.
